Description
The 2021 Waves Red Wine is a featherweight red that is satisfying and perfect to drink ice cold. A little sparkle makes it super lively on the palate. It has aromas of black plum, earth, dark cherry and violets. The palate has an unctuous middle full of black plum, cherry, and cocoa powder. There is only the slightest hint of mouth coating tannin and a long dry finish.
Made from a blend of organic, Zinfandel, Grenache, Valdiguie, Carignan, and Counoise.
The 2021 Waves Rose is the ideal rosé made for a can is light and zippy with big fruit. The varietal composition we came up with for this wine seems a little crazy: this vintage called for a bit of white wine to lean out the big reds, so we co-fermented early-picked Viognier juice with Zinfandel, Carignan, and Petite Sirah.
This combination of varieties results in a powerhouse of freshness with aromas of pomegranate and red plum along with hints of stone. The gentle sparkle really makes this a fun wine to enjoy out of the can or in a glass. The palate shows raspberry, gooseberry, and white cherry in abundance with bright acidity and a bit of texture in the finish.
Made from a blend of organic, dry farmed viognier, zinfandel, petite sirah, and carignan.
The 2021 Waves White is lightly sparkling and incredibly classy. It has aromas of pippin apple, honeydew melon, and grapefruit along with hints of wet stone. The palate shows melon, grapefruit, and a gentle sparkle and racy acidity. We think of this wine as being like that soft drink Squirt that we enjoyed on hot summer days as kids.
Made from a blend of organic, Grüner Veltliner, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay from organically farmed vineyards.
